I first met Michael when I moved back to Bristol in 2000, having received the introduction from an architect.
Michael carried out the full structural and building survey on the extremely run down house I was about to buy.
I was very impressed with the original report. Michael was direct, very clear in his understanding of the many issues and problems relating to this property, and in outlining solutions to deal with them.
His charges were very reasonable, he was at all times, professional, courteous and polite, but most importantly Michael and the staff he employs are very knowledgeable about all matters and problems relating to building and construction.
Since that first report, I have remained in regular contact with Michael. I continue to use his firm's services and I have also, without hesitation, recommended him to other professional and personal contacts many times over the last 11 years.

We have known Michael for three years. He originally undertook a detailed survey of our property and then went on to manage the extensive project involved in the re-conversion of the house containing two separate flats back to one dwelling with a utility room and porch extensions. This work involved not only supervising the building work but liaising with other specialists and the planning authorities. The fact that all the work went without a hitch and all the required notifications and authorisations were dealt with efficiently was down to Michael’s organisational ability.
He was meticulous in making sure that correct procedures were adhered to and that all parties were kept properly informed.
His advice cannot be faulted and he was always ready and willing to spend the time to talk through any queries that arose.

I first met Michael Knight in 1994 when he was an associate within another firm of Surveying Consultants. At that time I was in charge of the maintenance of five of the houses belonging to the then Frome Valley Circuit of the Methodist Church. These were the homes of the Circuit Ministers and Michael provided us with guidance over various building maintenance problems, over a period of several years.
When he set up his own company I was more than happy to recommend to the Methodist Circuit, that he remain our Surveyor for routine Quinquennial Inspections of all the Circuit Churches and Manses, which task he undertook diligently and with good humour.
Upon taking charge of Project Managing an improvement scheme (2007) to bring the Church premises into line with modern Disabled Access Legislation.
 From negotiating with contractors to attending to the minutiae of constructional detail Michael Knight Associates have always shown themselves to be approachable, friendly and open while maintaining a professional integrity in everything they are contracted to undertake.
